Coach Crossbody Bags Style Guide Everyday Styling Ideas

Coach Bags: The Complete Guide to Every Line

Coach opened its workshop in 1941 with men’s small leather goods, and women’s handbags followed later before becoming the mainstay of the brand. Tailored shoulder bags, soft hobos, satchels, carryalls, crossbodies and archive reissues all sit within today’s lineup of coach handbags. Line by line, this guide sets out what each major bag is, when it came along and how it is built. A launch date is given only if it is documented, and several popular lines have no reliable launch year on record.

Each price quoted here is an observed market price from 2026 instead of an entry on an official price list, and prices vary with size, material and promotions. A buyer choosing a first coach bag should keep in mind that closely matching names can refer to completely different designs. Certain shoppers type “couch bag” when searching for a Coach bag, which can draw listings for furniture into the results because the word is also a name for a sofa.

The Tabby

Carrying detachable straps and Signature “C” hardware, the Tabby is a firm-bodied shoulder bag that doubles as a crossbody. Designer Stuart Vevers introduced it in 2019, and its outline comes from Coach’s 1970s archive. The photographer Juergen Teller reportedly shot the launch campaign, “Dream It Real”. Retail listings have shown sizes 20, 26 and 36, and the main product name is Tabby Shoulder Bag.

The padded Pillow Tabby followed in 2021, sold under names such as Tabby Shoulder Bag 26 With Pillow Quilting. The Tabby 26 had an observed price of $475 in the US and £475 in the UK, with quilted and special-edition versions listed above it. The easy switch between shoulder and crossbody wear makes it a good fit for buyers who want one bag for both day and evening.

The Brooklyn Line

The Brooklyn is a relaxed coach shoulder bag in natural-grain leather, considerably nearer to coach a hobo than to the structured Tabby. After appearing on the Fall 2024 runway, it was released in August 2024. Two main sizes have been reported, the Brooklyn 28 and the roomier Brooklyn 39. Billed as large enough for a 15-inch laptop, the 39 makes a practical work bag.

Not to be confused with the shoulder styles, a newer Brooklyn Carryall shape was reported for Spring 2026. At John Lewis in the UK, the Brooklyn 28 was observed selling for £350. The Brooklyn was among the bags named as The RealReal’s 2025 resale report said searches for Coach had risen 160%. The figure, it should be noted, measures searches rather than resale prices.

Rogue

The Rogue is Coach’s structured satchel, finished with top handles and a shoulder strap. Having debuted on the Fall 2016 runway, it was eventually discontinued before coming back in a 2021 relaunch. At the top of Coach’s leather range, the line includes versions in regenerative leather and exotic skins. The highest Coach bag price observed in 2026 was for a Rogue 25 in alligator, observed at $8,000.

As reported, a Made-to-Order Rogue from Coach has taken about 12 weeks, stretching to about 16 weeks when exotic materials are used. By way of Coach (Re)Loved, the brand’s own resale and repair program, restored Rogue bags have also appeared. Many collectors see the Rogue as a showcase for how far upmarket Coach craftsmanship can go.

The Empire Carryall

The Empire Carryall is an elongated, east-west top-handle bag known in listings as the Empire Carryall Bag 34. Its release came in February 2025, after being shown on Coach’s Fall 2024 runway. It was sold out on the day of its release, according to fashion press reports. Less structured variants called Soft Empire, including a Soft Empire 40, are different styles from the structured Carryall 34.

In the UK the Empire Carryall 34 was observed at £475 on Coach’s own website. For everyday carrying, the long top-handle shape offers a more polished alternative to a coach tote bag. Anyone comparing listings should check the number after the name, since 34 and 40 are different bags.

Kisslock Styles Compared: Frame, Dreamer and Barrel

Kisslock is the name of a frame clasp inspired by vintage coin purses, a motif Coach connects with the Bonnie Cashin era. Various different bags share the word, and they should not be treated as one. Described in reports as the opening look of the Fall 2026 show, the Kisslock Frame Bag in glovetanned leather had an observed price of $350. As earlier Kisslock Frame versions also appear in listings, the family may well predate that show.

The Kisslock Dreamer 21, with quilted nappa leather and rivets, is an older style now seen mainly as restored or upcrafted pieces through Coach (Re)Loved. The Kisslock Barrel Bag is a Spring 2026 Coach Originals reissue drawn from a 1973 design. A Kisslock Backpack was also shown for Fall 2026, adding yet another use of the name.

Swinger, Swing Zip and The Coach Originals

The Coach Originals is a line of newly made reissues of archive designs, so its bags are new rather than vintage. The Swinger is a short-strap, zip-top shoulder bag with a turnlock, and Coach dates the original design to 1987. The version sold today is the Swinger Bag 20, also offered With Chain and in Signature canvas or jacquard. Do not treat the two names as one: the Swing Zip is a separate Coach Originals bag, based on a 1998 design.

Early 2025 reports pointed to other Originals including the Safari Bag from 1968, the Dinky from 1974 and the Hamptons Hobo from 2005. It has been reported that the Coach Originals name was already in circulation by 2020. For shoppers who want an archive look without the wear of a genuinely vintage piece, the line makes sense.

The Soho Names: Bag 25, Flap and Sneaker

Soho is one of the most confusing names in the Coach catalog as the name spans three different products. The original Soho Flap dates from 2006. Rather than being that 2006 bag, the Soho Bag 25 is a more compact, newer reissue, produced in materials such as glovetanned leather, patent leather and crystal jacquard. Soho styles sit within The Coach Originals, and a Soho Flap Bag in regenerative leather has also appeared in listings.

Set apart from the bags, the Soho Sneaker is footwear Coach has showcased in 2025 and 2026, and it belongs with shoes and coach clothing rather than handbags. To distinguish the bags from the shoe, include “Bag 25” or “Flap” to your search. No reliable current price for the Soho bags was captured, so look at Coach’s own website before buying.

The Willow, Cassie and Juliet Lines

These three lines are recognizable, but none has a documented launch year, so treat any date you see online with caution. Willow is a pebble-leather family that has featured the Willow Tote 24, a Willow Bucket and a Willow Shoulder bag. A Custom Willow Tote has also appeared on Coach’s own website; the Willow Tote 24, for its part, is a straightforward example of a coach tote bag. The Cassie Crossbody Bag 19, fitted with a Signature turnlock and interchangeable straps, is part of Cassie, a crossbody and top-handle design.

Coach’s own website has continued to list Cassie styles with newer style codes. Juliet is a slouchy shoulder bag in glovetanned leather, available in versions such as the Juliet Shoulder Bag 25 and the Pocket Juliet Bag 30. Because availability changes by season, verify whether a given Willow, Cassie or Juliet style is still current before relying on an older review.

All the Lines at a Glance: Observed Prices

For every main line, the table below sets out the shape, the key date and, where one was reliably captured, an observed 2026 price. Rather than figures from an official Coach price list, these are observed market prices, and they change with size, material, color and promotions. US prices exclude sales tax, while UK prices include VAT. A coach outlet runs its own promotions on outlet styles, whereas full-price styles may be marked down during sales.

Set up as Coach’s own official channel, Coach Outlet trades through outlet stores and an official online outlet section on Coach’s own website. In 2014, Coach’s head of investor relations was quoted as saying about 85% of outlet merchandise was made specifically for the outlet channel. Tapestry has since talked about bringing some full-price collection product into outlets, and that number is dated. A full-price coach store or Coach’s own website continues to be the place to look for current-season lines.
